What is Cost Plus?

Cost Plus is a cost-efficient way for Contractors to provide tax-free health and dental services for themselves and their dependents, their employees and their dependents. The plan provides up to 100% coverage on all health, hospital, medical and dental expenses that qualify as such expenses under The Income Tax Act of Canada (ITA).

Cost Plus can also supplement existing health care plans that do not include full coverage or where full coverage is not cost efficient. Cost Plus services are 100% tax deductible to your business. You the employer can define which employees participate in the plan and you set their level of coverage. (Even the health and dental expenses of your extended famiily may be covered under Cost Plus.)

As health, medical and dental expenses continue to rise, small to medium sized businesses should look into Cost Plus. With Cost Plus you only pay for coverage you use or need, and there are no monthly premiums to pay.

Who qualifies for Cost Plus?

Contractors with an incorporated business or partenrship
If you have an incorporated business or a partnership and if you pay taxes, you qualify. You could be a single one-person business or have numerous employees. You can be a small or medium-size business. If you have a sole proprietorship , please contact us to assess if you qualify.

Contractors with an existing group benefits plan
If your current benefits plan does not provide full coverage for health, medical or dental services, you can use Cost Plus to add to your regular plan.
